update problem?

Ok my cousin has a white macbook the 2.1 ghz one before the new ones came out he bough in x-mas ok. soo he did the latest update from leopard i think it is 10.5.6 but when were updating it we just left it the and when to the movies after 4 5 hours we came back and the bar didn't move so we left it all night and still so he got mad and took the battery out? everything seems to work fine? did he got the update correctly or not?

click the Apple in the top left corner and choose "about this mac"
It will display the Version of OS that you are running

Or you can try running the software update again..

the same thing happened with me. i couldn't upgrade to 10.5.6. its really annoying 🙁 anyhelp would be appreciated.
