I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 7.1.1 and Jailbreak.

I can not update through iTunes using the .ipsw file, it is displayed the error 3194. I made the hosts file procedure, but did not work.

I made several Google searches and understand that you can not update the same iPhone with Jailbreak.

What can I do?

Check your host file on your computer or try a computer that doesn't have the host file bastardised to look for Saurik server during the SHSH days!

There is nothing you can do....the only upgrade option you have is restore to the latest firmware Apple is signing and that is 9.2.1.

iPhone 4s running on iOS9.2.1, wow that is crazy!

I honesty I do not know what the op is trying to do, if intending to keep a jailbreakable iOS then may be use semi-restore otherwise use another computer and update to iOS9.2.1

OK. I will check and return.

Right. But after upgrading to iOS 9.2.1 I can downgrade to version 8.4.1?

The version 9.2.1 is much lag on the iPhone 4s?

I would just upgrade my iOS even if the jailbreak was removed, no problem.

No. Apple no longer signs any ipsw below iOS9.2.1 for the 4s. https://ipsw.me/

Performance wise, I would not know other than hearing from others complaining of poor performances (from their experiences)

But you believe that performance is bad?

is there any way to avoid signature verification

There isn't a way to choose which iOS version you want to update to

You are stuck with updating to the latest version, which is currently 9.2.1

Your options or only to stay on iOS 7.1.1 or go to iOS 9.2.1

got it. there is still Jailbreak for iOS 9.2.1, there is something similiar, like to use icleaner to clean unnecessary files.

There is no jailbreak for 9.2.1......the best you can hope for is a jailbreak for 9.3 after it has been officially released....middle to end of March ....I think and hope...

I saw on youtube a similar app to Cydia? Will it work?

I just don't get it.....is it possible, that you don't believe us.....and the whole MacRumors site.....trust me, all bells will ring big time when the new jailbreak comes out....patience please :)

and not to forget.... payed apps for free is a big no no on this site!!!...if you think that Cydia is the same thing, than you are terribly wrong.

Yes, I believe in all. Everyone has great knowledge on the platform.

I will make the update and wait.

If you jailbreak your phone or will jailbreak in the future DO NOT use pirates apps to get free services. Not only can it introduce viruses and bad things to your phone, but you are not supporting the jailbreak developers and community. Pay for your apps like the rest of us and help keep jailbreaking live.

Isn't there a way to do some sort of a downgrade on 4s (and some other older devices) that are jailbroken?
