I updated iTunes yesterday and it never installed each time, as the App Store kept saying it needed to be updated. Finally, on the 4th time, it installed. However, I am left with this in the App Store updated apps section.

Can anyone tell me why this occurred, and what to do to get it back down to the one update?

Really no need to worry about it being listed several times, they're only there for 30 days, that list will disappear eventually. Not like it's actual files wasting your space, it's purely a listing in the App Store.

I appreciate the reply, just thought it was kind of weird that it did that.

File is a plist file located at ...
Code:
USER/Library/Application Support/App Store/updatejournal.plist

If you care to edit it yourself ...

How exactly would one need to go about updating that file to keep from screwing it up?

My iTunes updated twice, but it's only listed once. I updated to the latest version only for the update to pop up again a short time later after I performed a restart (for something else unrelated). Weird.
