In the last few minutes apple.com has been updating with documentation for new products.

But this page lists these specifications for the RAM for the 2017 iMac:

While the manual states differently:

Which is correct?
 
I believe that the DDR3 so-simms have 204 pins, whereas the DDR4 so-simms have 260 pins. It is unfortunate that there's inconsistency between these 2 Apple-sourced pieces of information.

Apple got back to me, stating they fixed the pin count inaccuracy.

Actually, the manual has an error of its own.

It refers to the SODIMMs as type PC4-2400, when in fact the correct denomination is PC4-19200.

It blows my mind that a company as big as Apple can make such simple (yet confusing for newbies) mistakes on two different occasions...
This error remains. I will re-open the bug report with this issue.
