Well if it's an eMac or Mini...go with the eMac since you gain "only some performance" over the Mini due to the faster HDD and this will help if you get into video.
I also have an eMac as well as the iBook in my sig. and I'm happy with both Macs. Just try to max out the ram no matter which one you get, it will always help and enjoy :D
 
and even tho a lot of people say otherwise, i really like the built in speakers. but that's just me.

Yeah, the built-in speakers don't sound bad at all. I've unplugged my Altec Lansings a few times and just listened to the built-in ones. They sound a lot better than I expected.

You might be better off looking at eBay for a demonstrator model.
Couldn´t I just use a power adapter, 110-220v?

Yeah, I suppose you could. I didn't even think of that. :rolleyes:

Maybe have a look 'round these forums first to check because you wouldn't want to blow up a new imac when it doesn't even have a warranty. :(
