Hi all,
Today I updated to the GM version of iOS6. In doing so, iTunes for whatever reason did not give me the option to restore from a backup (possible I was doing something in Safari, press enter and swiped along to iTunes, possibly pressing enter there for new iPhone instead)
In any case, the phone was setup as new and made a new iCloud backup... with nothing on it.
Now iTunes will not give me the option to restore any backup prior to the empty one made today, but when I check my iCloud account from my iPhone and from my Mac it is still showing my 4GB backup with all my messages, app data, etc.
Developer and Consumer support have not been helpful at all. Has anyone faced similar issues and/or know a solution? I've disabled iCloud completely for now just in case anything gets overwritten.
I don't think this is an iOS6 problem, because I updated from iOS5 to 6 before and backed up perfectly, which is why I posted it here.
Could anyone help? 🙁
