Updated iPhoto. Icon has changed but app is the same

I updated to the latest version of iPhoto on the app store. The iPhoto icon in the dock has changed but it still opens to the old version. Any thoughts?

I cant see any changes, didnt event get some form of "welcome to the new version" screen.

What's the version number? Should be 9.5. Go to iPhoto-->about.
