well, I renamed the the 32x32 icons using @2x and dropped them in the correct lockinfotheme folders...no luck. So I tried putting them directly in /Library/LockInfo/Plugins...no dice.

HELP! :)

Update

Got a response from the dev, Dave Ashman: "You'll need to wait for the next release with support for retina display."

Does this mean it's otherwise impossible to do it? Seems at least one guy has figured it out.

New LockInfo beta with Retina display support has been released.

LockInfo supports the retina icons, I don't believe David has supplied any specific replacement icons. Those should come along now from those practiced at converting those.

With regard to phone icons, the name there is not "section_icon.png"

It's "call_icon.png" and "voicemail_icon.png"

Stimpys latest beta includes retina icons :)

I have produced stock retina icons for lockinfo:

photo.PNG

To create my retina icons I created images (30px x 30px) that are twice the resolution of the standard icons (15px x 15 px). And gave the new images a @2x extension (e.g section_icon@2x.png). And placed these images in the corresponding root folder.

For anyone who would like to use my version you can download a Winterboard .theme version here:

http://www.paulmwhite.com/downloads/lockinfo_stock_retina_icons.theme.zip

I must add the @2x versions for "call_icon.png" and "voicemail_icon.png" don't seem to be working for me? That goes for my stock icons and Stimpys latest retina beta update. :(

Yeah, there is no stock @2X phone icon inside it's root folder. There is one for voicemail however.

@pw1500

The icons are all fine. You must have the phone folder misnamed as I simply drug the retina icons into my pre-exisitng LockInfo theme folder and they work as they should.

Phone icons don't seem to be retina

Any chance of a different voicemail retina icon ?

Anyone figured out how to make the Lock Weather plugin display the weather graphics in retina format? I've played around with a couple combinations, but can't seem to trigger it.

EDIT: Just so we are all on the same page, this is what I'm talking about:

Any chance of getting your Twitter icon, it looks to be retina quality ?
Thanks !

Yup. I just ZIP'd all my Retina quality icons together. You just have to rename them and drop them into the appropriate plugin location.

All of the icons are retina for me except phone  When I tried to add my own @2X for phone it didn't work

That is my problem too for phone and voicemail. I have hidden them for now since the non-retina icons they look so grainy.

so can someone explain to me what this update actually did? I updated but all of my icons are still small little black and whites. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks jayhawk - I managed to get everything working except the phone and voicemail icons. It does not seem to work with the @2x icons yet.

Has anyone tried making the htc weather icons retina sized? I may also try that later and see what happens.
