I'm glad I didn't buy one 7 months ago. Now the computer I will be using for the next 5 years will be twice as fast as what I would have bought then.

Funny how it feels like Apple have given us the mac pro EARLY - cos we're expecting it at MacWorld = but really it's laaate

Anyway I'll be ordering 8x2.8 with 8800 tomorrow.

Well he had to post that update today so it would be out of the way for whatever consumer toy he wants to show off at macworld.... and probably mention how they just cut a deal for the iphone on mars or something

If I'd bought a base mac pro 7 months ago it would have been the same price and speed as if I'd bought a base mac pro 17 months ago. That was enough to put me off at the time.
