Updated MacBook Also Released Today?

Just noticed that the new and improved MacBook is available on the UK Apple Store this morning. Was this done earlier this week, or is it a sneaky release today?

If so, no-one saw that coming!

I see there is still no Blu-Ray drive.

oh wow, Apple store US is down. This would be a surprise if they updated the laptops (and maybe even the mini) on a Friday.

and I don't know all the ins and outs of traditional release dates etc.

Perhaps that has been there for months and I hadn't noticed!

Thats the last update from 2.2ghz to 2.4ghz a few months ago.

i think it has been there for some time. im not completely sure either. but something that they should try doing is to update the whole site. lots of pages still have .Mac. also the iMac tech spec doesnt even have the 3.06ghz or the new nVidia cards on it...

I would have to say yes. I can't wait til this iPhone hoopla blows over...it is getting really old hearing all about it, apps, pricing, etc. But that's me.

I'm with you here! Tyred of all this iPhone news... Maybe they've been waiting to release the 3G iPhone before releasing Macbooks updates
