I just did on my Rev. B, and just with one tab in Safari open (not really anything Flash in it) my MBA is running at 175 degrees, fans running at 4602 rpms...Uh oh... 😱

Yup, I'm currently running Mac OS X 10.5.6, but the first kernel panic developed during 10.5.5...

I'll probably pick-up a nice fan(s) at MWSF '09 for my MBA...😎

My Original MBP (CD 2.0) runs at 85+ (Celcius) all the time. This 70+ *used* to be a normal temperature for al the laptops in the CoreDuo days.

AGain, I assume you had it on your lap so no air was circulating and the machine heated up 'cause it couldn't cool it self down. Your pant material was probably also impeding or blocking the vent for the hot air at the back

This is a design flaw of the MBA period - both A & B.

IMO the vents are right where they need to be. It's a notebook, not a laptop. 😉

If it were somewhere else someone would find a way to cover them up and again complain about heat issues (not sure if that's the OP's problem in this case).

Dual fans would have helped but drained the battery even more, so it's ying yang.
