Today I updated to iTunes 10.6.3 and my music sounds noticeably more light and tinny, coming through my v-moda earbuds. Is this a known problem? Did iTunes actually change the quality of my music files through this update?

How different? Be specific...

Hmmm, it might hard to describe. I want to say "lighter" and more "static-like." It's definitely not as deep a sound like before. I checked the Preferences > Sound Enhancer and when I turn that up to High it doesn't really change the sound much. Then I opened up the Info for one song and chose Equalizer: Bass Booster - that seemed to help, but of course that's only for one song. There isn't a Bass Booster preference for all of iTunes that I saw. Not sure if they had that feature before, but I definitely would've had it on, as I do for my iPhone.

It should be noted that I'm using a Powerbook g4, running Leopard. I hadn't updated iTunes in a couple years. In fact, i don't even know if 10.6.3 is the latest version, it probably isn't, lol.
