It's just a Stupid phone people. To the average sane person the phone looks great. It's only the OCD folk here who make a big deal of these little insignificant things. My phone works, looks good and I actually do stuff like answer emails, make phone calls and do business on my phone. I'm not going to make some apple retail employee who makes $12 an hour open up several boxes just so I can have a blue tinted screen. It's just the most silly thing i have ever seen.

My iPod touch 4 has the blue screen. They look different. Big deal.

I think pictures look better on my iPhone. They seem richer.

All of a sudden you guys know what apple should and shouldn't do? Isn't this just all in your head and not a real world problem?

Its about what the OP likes and prefers. He is paying a lot of money for this phone and has the right to prefer which screen he wants. You do not have to be OCD at all to see the screen on the right looks horrible and yellow. Sure the pictures look better but there are a ton of apps with black font on white backgrounds even emails. Imagine reading an email on a yellow background like the notes app. Its terrible.

OP, the genius I had opened the 30 boxes ON HIS OWN....I never asked him too. He opened a retail box with the manager also....it REALLY depends what genius you get. The genius I got in SF said this screen is normal (there were 3 guys shadowing him from apple HQ) and these guys said it was not normal at all and I deserve a replacement. Good luck and keep trying...You will get a blue screen eventually and they wont turn you away....Just don't be shy at all either.

I think all you can do is be persistent and polite. I used to work in retail and nice customers always get better treatment. There's nothing wrong with being assertive about your problem but doing it politely and calmly will get you way further and probably get you a "blue" phone. Good luck

complete and total b.s. The yellow is not so bad that it's the same as the notes app. You seem to be on this agenda to educate the world of the dangers of the dreaded yellow screen. go forth young man and spread the word of the dangers.

it wasn't an issue until someone posted it on the internet. If half of you never seen Macrumors forum you wouldnt even be talking about it now. This problem wasn't a problem until you saw it on a forum. Then you built it up to be really more than it is.

I got off the phone with Apple support and they also agree'd the iPhone 4 should not be yellow! These pictures don't do it justice, it's actually worse in person when trying to use the iPhone at night time.

It isn't as easy on the eyes as the blue screen, when looking at the yellow screen it strains your eyes. Has nothing to do with "ocd"

I've always been very polite when I arrive and talk to the Genius so well see what happens tomorrow! Will report back with a blue iPhone *crossing fingers*

My original iPhone 4 was blue and looked great, but had other issues so I got it swapped out. The replacement had a screen just as yellow as yours, and I agree that it looks awful and honestly it hurt my eyes to look at it for too long. I had them exchange it again, and the next one had a blue screen (kept that one, and I am still using it happily). Just keep at it, you'll get a good one eventually :)

Uhhhhh....Did you read my earlier story? MY yellow screen issue was noticed by me BEFORE i have ever read such a thing. I registered in June for a wiggly button issue but started reading on here in Jan...And I never built it up, I simply made one thread about the issue....

Stop being a woman (if you are male), and live with it.

If you are a lady, well, you can complain :D

Uh, yellow like a post it note? I've seen yellow tinted, but this business of yellow like a post it note I find that term kinda funny. I like you. You got spunk.
:D

Got a normal iPhone 4! Genius noticed yellow tint right away and replaced with a nice bright blue one! :D:D:D:D

Now only 3 more days until iPad 2! Oh god... here we go again!
