The "Take Picture" button in Camera.app now respects orientation. I don't recall that before this update.

Yup, that is new feature added. I tried the camera a day before and wanted to take a picture in landscape mode, but couldn't. Thanks :apple: for fixing that :)

Before the update with my phone in standby I would get the annoying GSM chatter in my speakers at work. It was LOUD and in an 8hr day it would go off maybe every 2 minutes and last for about 20 seconds. Very annoying and I can only assume it wasn't doing anything for battery life. Was it jumping around looking for reception? I have no idea but my reception was never an issue and why would one get that chatter every 2 minutes or so? For the last two days it has not done the GSM chatter at all in standby mode and only if I turn the screen on and even then the chatter is barely noticeable and dissipates quickly. My battery life is lasting wonderfully longer now. Even if this is a placebo I will gladly take this pill.

When someone sends me a text the actual message doesnt show up anymore. It just sayd the persons name and the word "text" afterwards. Isn't this new?

I've had this happen all along if I have more than one text, or a text and a voicemail. So if friend A texts me, it says "Friend A: Blee blah bloo", but if friend B also texts me and then Friend A calls as well, it says:

Friend A: Text
Friend B: Text
Friend A: Missed Call
Friend A: Voicemail

So it has always done this if you have several messages or entries...if it's just the one text I don't know what's up with that.

works for me: settings > general > passcode lock > require passcode

I have mine set to 30 minutes.

I also noticed the new options for locking the phone. However, when I have mine set to 1 hour I noticed that it locks the phone every hour instead of an hour after it has not been used.

I just tried this in my car. And now the Belkin Auto Kit for iPod works with the iPhone. Before the update the Belkin Auto Kit for iPod would only charge the iPhone and no sound would come out when playing in ipod mode.

Now you still get the message that says "This device is not designed to work with iPhone. Would you like to switch to Airplane mode." Just click No and and go to ipod mode play some music and it will output the sound through the dock connector just like the ipod.

Ahhh now I can listen to my iPhone in the car just like I used to with my iPod. :D

Yup... a very welcome update indeed, as incompatibility with dock-enabled car adapters was a huge disappointment initially. Glad to see they fixed it sooner rather than later, although the alert is annoying.

I have to disagree with the reports of the volume being corrected. I think it's even quieter than before!

I second this one. I just thought it was me, but since the patch, I have to hold the speaker up near my ear to hear a speakerphone call. That kind of defeats the whole purpose of using speaker!

Before the patch, I could use speaker call in my car. Forget about it now.

Can anyone confirm that their battery life is WORSE after the update? I have NEVER had a problem with the battery since day 1. I could go all day at work and home, cruising the net, you tube and email, and battery life would never go less than 1/2 (16-17 hour day). Now since the update I am at the Red battery point (that I have NEVER seen before) and the phone is telling me it needs to be charged. I am hugely disappointed with this as I thought my battery life was great before. If this is an ongoing thing, it will force me to think twice about the usage of my phone. Anyone else have this experience?

I agree with you guys...i've not had to post anything negative about this phone till now....(although i do miss my 8525 that had ALL kinda' great functioning prog's. on it) But, i do notice a difference with my phones speaker volume...thank God i always have my Samsung earpiece with me otherwise outside in an uncontrolled vol. scenario, i'd be in trouble trying to use this phone!

I haven't noticed any differences in speaker volume after the 1.0.1 update. All the minor feature updates are there (like autolock time and such.)

However, I do now have one issue that another person says they have as well - sending email from a Yahoo account no longer works. Receiving works. Gmail send a receive works. But Yahoo send doesn't. I've deleted my Yahoo mail settings, power cycled the phone and still have the issue. Has this happened to anybody else?

elistan, I'm having some similar issues. I can send and receive via Yahoo, but the times are significantly delayed--much moreso than with Gmail. I'l keep testing further and post what I find.

Install Car Kit

After the patch I found that my Motorola HF850 Bluetooth Installed car kit is now working. Previously with 1.0 it would pair, but there would be no audio. Now everything is working fine.

Also glad that the Belkin Auto Kit works through the audio line out feature, and the Mod that has been posted is no longer necessary

Problem with Yahoo contacts sync

Immediately after I upgraded and rebooted, when I attempt to sync my iPhone I get this message:

Itunes could not sync with the Yahoo address book due to an unknown error (4). Please try again later.

Absolutely nothing else has changed besides updating to 7.3.2...what could be wrong?

I used iFuntastic to put custom ringtones on my iPhone before the update. When the update came out I had to resore my iPhone to factory defaults. Not only didi I lose any camera roll photos that were not saved I also lost all my You Tube bookmarks.

And since the update my battery goes from half full to zero like nothing.

One thing that I have noticed is that the play-pause from the clicker on the headphones now works better. Before the update if I was listening with the headphones and I clicked the pause button on headphones it would pause. But if I waited to long to click it again to continue playing the songs it wouldn't work and I would actually have to take the iPhone out of my pocket and click play on the screen.

This was very annoying but they have fixed it now. Now I can't wait for some real feature updates.

I had that problem too, good fix.
