I need an adobe flash update to open most videos now. I tried to do the update and the selections of operating system say mac os intel. I have mountain lion and don't want to change it. Which os should I click - is intel compatible?

Yes. OS X has been Intel only since 10.6 Snow Leopard, which came out in 2009.
