Updating and using factory unlocked iPhone 5 with T-Mobile

If i update my unlocked iphone 5, and use it with Tmobile.. is it the same thing as using Tmobile iphone 5.. or will I be losing some thing ? LTE etc

Only thing yours will lack is the AWS 3G. You will still get LTE if you are in one of the markets that have it now.

thats means if I dont have LTE in my area I wont get 3g either?

If the area has been refarmed, you'll get 3G/4G speeds. If not, then all you'll get are Edge speeds.

Next best thing is to use this map on this site, gives you the areas of where T-Mobile is running 1900 band on 3G

Check T-Mobile's coverage maps on their website, or Google "T-Mobile refarmed markets" and see if you are in one of the areas.

T-mobile's coverage area does not show which areas are refarmed. So if you have a current unlocked iPhone 5 (and not the one coming out tomorrow), you can't know if you will get 3G or not. The airportal.de site is the best guide. It isn't perfect since it relies on user submissions but it gives you an idea where T-mobile is refarming.
