I am trying to update applications but till now I haven't found a way to really do that. Does it work for you? When I download the application update on my Mac Pro I get an error when trying to update. If I download the update on my iPhone I get an error message that this will be available when I connect it to my Computer. When I do that I get an error message again.
The only way I found to be working is actually not an update. I delete the app first, download the update and then install it. The problem with this procedure is that all settings are gone...
Does anyone know how this should work?

You are describing the exact problem i'm having. Deleting the app and then reinstalling is the only work-around i've been able to find. However, this is not acceptable because I always lose my data when doing so. I searched MR to find a solution but haven't found any yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I have had the problem from time to time as well. I simply tell iTunes to resync and it updates. If I try to download something from my phone and it errors out, I simply go to my computer and have is check for purchased content, the app downloads, then I sync it with my computer.

Anyone find a solution yet?

I deleted all my applications and reinstalled them all. Now each day I get a few more updates. This is insane!!! All the applications are on the phone and working... but NOT the updated versions unless I delete the application from the phone AND iTunes and reinstall it as new.

There's got to be a solution to this madness? This is becoming a FT job!Guess I'll have to live w/ the red dot on my applications icon that keeps growing everyday. What a pain in the @ss!

I'm having the same problem and none of the other suggestions have worked for me. I really hope 2.1 fixes this problem. It is definitely a PITA to have to delete apps from the phone and in iTunes just so I can redownload the latest versions and reinstall them.
