Updating Camera Roll?

So I'm now doing MMS on my iPhone and was wondering if it is possible to import these images back into the Camera Roll? I used Finder to copy the jpg from the mms directory used by SwirlyMMS and paste it into the DCIM\100APPLE directory with the other images but I need to get the image database to update and recognize the photo. When I open the camera roll the image isn't listed even though the file is in the directory.

Any help or ideas? I was wondering if there was an app to help with this.
