Hey,

My mac is operating on 10.3.2 (just got it off ebay {LOVE IT!}).

I was updating the software (wanting 10.3.9), and I encountered a problem. The iTunes update was always ahead of the OS update, so when it was done loading, I got a message saying it could not be completed because it requires 10.3.9...I thought I could just pass on the iTunes update, get the OS update finished, and then come back to it, but I can't find a way to do them seperately or even change the order.

Any ideas? Thanks!

^Ahhh, now I got it. I thought the little check-mark signified which updates were done loading....which lead to even more confusion.

Alright, this time I really have no idea:

Whenever I try to download the Mac OS X update, I get this once it gets close to being done:

"The Update MAC OS X Update Combined could not be verified and expanded correctly.

make sure you have permission to write to /temp/501/temporaryitems/com.apple.softwareupdate, then try again."

Huh? 😕
