Updating iPhone 3GS without Internet.

My only Internet connection is through my iPhone. It's the only way i can afford it, at the moment.

I have downloaded the .ipsw file needed for the update, but am hesitant to update.

So my question is this: Can I install the update without an Internet connection, and have no problems?

No, In order for Itunes to work, you need to have internet connection.

There are so many places you can get free wifi i.e McDonald, Starbucks etc.... So, just go there, get free connection and update your phone.

Yes and No. Yes, because iTunes will start the update, but it will not complete because it needs to talk to Apple's servers in order to complete the update and also needs to check if your Activation is valid as well.

Try this, ask a friend's for Internet so you can update your iPhone.

Like the guys said above you will need an internet connection.
Use a friends computer or something to do the update.
One that pays for internet
