I am currently travelling with my ipod touch and would like to update my software, however I do not have my computer with me. Is there any way I can update it with someone else's computer/itunes without deleting my music. It would also be preferable if i did not have to put my music on someones computer, as I have 20GB.

Alternatively, is there any way to download skype onto ipod touch without updating itunes.

Thanks in advance!

I updated my iPhone software the last time from my work computer. All my music, apps, and settings stayed intact.

You'll only lose the content if you restore. If you just run an update you'll be fine.

I manually manage it, but it still pops up with a warning that it will delete your music when updating the software, so backup on your iTunes.
