I'm sorry if this is a stupid question--I'm really not very familiar with apple OSs, so I'm working with what little knowledge I currently have.
I inherited a Mid-2009 MBP. It still works perfectly well other than that a lot of software is incompatible with its current OS, which is El Capitan (10.11) When I try to upgrade it to Mojave per https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683, it says my rig is too old and it won't let me do it. Is there a way to upgrade to Mojave anyway? This computer is still perfectly usable, and I'd hate to get rid of it just because of the OS.
