Updating MobileMe Subscription with a code bought from Amazon.com

So I bought a mobileMe family pack, since my 1st subscription of MobileMe family pack expires Nov 15th 2009. I see in my MobileMe preferences where I can renew it with the code. My question is: since my account is not up for renewal until Nov. 15th, if I put in the code now, will I be good until Nov. 15 2010 or will I be good until October 8th 2010? I don't want to lose the month and a half, but would like to update now so I don't forget. Anyone know?
