    I own a 2011 Macbook Pro 15" high end with a Samsung 470 256GB SSD.

I have downloaded the latest Samsung Magician software (3.0) and ran it in Windows 7 through bootcamp. It said there was a firmware update for my SSD.

Into Magician, i created the bootable usb with the firmware update but when i restart the macbook, i press alt and the only options to boot are bootcamp or OSX Lion...

How can i boot from the usb to perform the firmware update?

Is there any other way to update my Samsung 470 SSD firm?

    Thanks in advance.

I'd be wary of upgrading an Apple supplied SSD with generic firmware.

Even when Apple uses Samsung SSD drivers in some models, the 470 is not an Apple supplied SSD, i bought it afterwards.
