Updating siri remote

New firmwares for the 2nd and 3rd generations siri remotes have apparently come out today and my current version shows as 0x0070.

Anyone know what the newest version is? Have been trying to get my remote to update but no luck so far

My Apple TV 4K with TVOS 17RC updated the Apple TV remote firmware to version x0x83. Find My remote now works.

Wonder if it needs tvOS 17 for it to install, I'm currently on 16.6. Have had my remote next to my apple tv for about 3 hours but it hasn't updated yet. Or maybe it'll happen overnight.

Nearly certain it needs TVOS 17 in order for a remote to update past firmware version 0x70.
 
Is there a separate firmware version for the USB-C AppleTV Siri Remote? Mine still shows 0x21 from the latest tvOS 17 public beta.

0x33 is the latest. You can try plugging it into power and restarting the Apple TV and see if it will update after a few minutes.

After updating to tvOS 17 I left my remote next to my Apple TV for about an hour and then voila, it updated to 0x83.

Same for me but left it overnight. 2015 Apple TV HD mode with 2nd gen Siri remote. After updating the remote, the remote app on my iPhone shows the “find remote” option
