I don't think you understand what is on that page. lol

One wise would understand that since iOS 7 is the biggest change we've ever seen in iOS, chances are higher to see a different release build.

But doesn't the GM have to be loaded onto the new iPhones NOW to be ready for shipment and sales? What is the likelihood that Apple would preload a GM onto their new devices and then push out a different build a few days before those devices go on sale?

We still need iTunes to be updated to support iOS 7 completely. Getting tired of syncing my apps that have over 12 apps in a folder and it boots them out of the folder.

The new iTunes is usually released when the GM build is released.

It's highly unlikely that they'll do it, unless they find a huge bug or something. Nobody wants to turn on their brand new phone and have to do an update right away. The GM is already done and has been ready since they started shipping the phones

This.

Unless there's a bug that deletes all your emails and texts dirty pictures to your boss, the GM has been finished for weeks.

Hey guys, my new replacement iphone doesn't have it's udid registered and since my account expired and I'm not renewing will I be able to update to GM through iTunes normally or do I have to download the ispw and wipe the phone?

A friendly reminder: The GM Seed does NOT come out until Tomorrow, and it may very well be to the Apple Developer Program Only, seeing how Microsoft got some very Negative Comments for NOT giving Microsoft Developer's an Advance Copy of BOTH Windows 8.1 RTM and Windows Server 2012 R2 RTM.

If history is any indication, the GM will be released for devs only tomorrow. Of course different websites will have it available for download as with previous betas, but the public release won't be until next week sometime.

That may be the case but whomever leaks the GM Seed will most likely be Booted from the Apple Developer Program if Apple has a Water Mark in the Download with the Apple Developer's ID in it.

In order to download the GM Seed, Apple often Requires us Apple Developer's to Re-Agree to our Apple Developer Non-Disclosure and Non-Re-Distribution Agreement to anyone who does NOT work for the Member's Place of Work (if the Member is a Corporation) or the Member himself/herself (if the member is an Individual).

Yes it is.

The main reason why the GM Seed may be different from the Public Release is that the GM Seed may possibly contain a Water Mark with the Apple Developer's Personal ID in it so that Apple can find any Members who are Leaking The Not-Yet-Public Release Builds and Ban them from the ADC Program.

Hasn't happen with any of the betas so I don't think it's gonna happen with the GM. But for the sake of argument I guess it's possible. Note that Apple didn't care enough to do this with all 6 of the iOS7 betas, but you think they will with the GM? Why? After the event everything will be out in the open anyway.

Except that's never happened.

Just no. You're making stuff up to spread fear. Take off the tinfoil hat.... GM will only be different if there's a major bug. That's it.

GM is the same in all industries. It's what is sent out to the public. CDs / DVDs are an example. GM CD or DVD is the one that is duplicates over millions of times for public sale. The iOS GM is the one that will be installed onto the iPhones and that process has most likely started already as they have a few million to flash it to.

This is by far the funniest thing I've read today. Next thing you know they'll be requiring people to enter serial numbers to install Mavericks.

I know that you can not update from beta 6 to GM OTA.. But.. Once GM is installed can GM be updated OTA to.. Lets say 7.0.1.. Or is it better to install the public release.

It's the same thing as the public release, therefore it works the same way.

Can someone explain the easiest way for someone without a developer account to install the GM when it comes out tomorrow? I currently have 6.1.4 on my iPhone 5.

Back your iPhone up

Download iOS 7 GM for your specific phone be Careful (you have to find it yourself, Google is your friend)

Download and install the lastest itunes version

Connect your iPhone to your computer
Select the device in iTunes

On a Mac, hold down the “Option” key and then click on “Update”
On a Windows PC, hold down “SHIFT” key and then click on “Update”
Select the GM you downloaded and click “Choose”
Let the iOS device update as usual

If update doesn't work, select restore (you'll start fresh and have to back up your phone and all.)

lovely.. error 4027 or error 3000 when dfu, any ideas? gs.apple.com isnt in my hosts. and i have the proper build a1428
