Updating to IOS 6.1.3 issues

I've had an alert on my phone's Apple Watch app telling me that the system was ready to be updated to 6.3.1, which is supposed to take place while the watch is charging. Yet for two nights I've charged my watch, and the system has still not updated. Anyone know why...?

You have to go in to the watch app and initiate the update. Have you downloaded it yet?

Except that the watch app on my phone states that updates are automatic.

Same thing here, I simply turned off "Automagic Updates", and initiated the upgrade manually. Still kinda wondered why it didn't do it though.

It says the watch and the phone have to be close together, each one on a charger,charging. I did this last night. In this morning my watch had the latest update. No clue why this worked.

My devices are inches away and both on chargers (phone is on a Mophie mat). But this morning, when I put on my watch, I received an alert that the new system is ready for download and that it would happen tonight. So we shall see...
