This will be something of a rant format.
I can forgive most of Apple’s software flaws and oversights. However, there’s (at least) one that has enraged me every time I encounter it: no way of updating the OS.
So, (clearly) Apple wants users to be on the latest software, with automatic updating, unavoidable notifications/badges, etc., involving “update available" — with some users being very vocal about their opposition to it. Except, on certain devices, Apple seemingly makes it impossible —through incompetence?
What I’ve realized is AVP (i.e., visionOS) suffers from the same oversight. The update details are shown but no “Download and Install” button.

By the way, this is (also) the same (typically) useless experience as watchOS, that is, via the Watch app on iPhone. Fortunately, the option to execute the update on the Watch itself is normally a successful approach.
Of course, I’ve restarted (i.e., shut down and booted) the AVP several times as well as tried to uninstall the update. Although, no update appears in Settings > Storage. Thus, seemingly it hasn’t even automatically downloaded, including overnight.
P.S. I have noticed “Download and Install” not appearing for some iOS/iPadOS upgrades, but it’s rare versus nearly consistent for watchOS and, apparently, visionOS.

When you update to the latest version of visionOS, your data and settings remain unchanged.
