I've got a pal with a 400mhz iMac with firewire etc.

Anyone know offhand if it takes 168pin pc100 SDRAM? It's limping along on 9.01 OS with 64kbs of ram! I also THINK it is the same as my mom's G3500mhz that will really only take a new 120gb hard drive, but don't know. I'd like to help get this old G3 up to speed somewhat with the biggest/fastest hd and memory -- and does anyone know if I can make it play DVDs with an internal DVD player to replace the cdrom in this slot loading machine?

Yeah, you were right about the RAM - Click Here. As for the DVDs - if you take out the whole slot loading drive and replace it with a slot loading drive that can read DVDs, then yes it will work.
