Hello everyone,

I would like to upgrade a 3GS running but I can't find a 5.0.1 ipsw.
The only ipsw that seems to be available is the 5.1.

The iPhone is officially unlocked so is it safe to upgrade it to 5.1 and still be able to jailbreak it ?

Thanks

Depend on the bootrom and production date (check your serial number), you can jailbreak untethered. If not, you can still Jailbreak, it'll just be a tethered jailbreak.

Thank you for your reply

are you talking about a 5.1 jailbreak or 5.0.1 ?

Is it possible to get the 5.0.1 ipsw somewhere ?

I checked the iPhone and it seems that it's a new bootroom ( iBoot-359.3.2 )

According to Cydia, yes.

5.0.1 is fine.
If 5.0.1 is untethered, I'd rather not upgrade to 5.1.
