So I have an iMac 2019 paired with a 2012 Thunderbolt Display. Use it about 8 hours every other week. Noticed brightness does not seem nearly as good anymore.

Also with a 2021 MacBook Pro . Mostly use it for reading, excel, word - hospital/clinic EMR. Works fine, battery could be better and keyboard sucks. I use this one every day

Considering upgrading my Thunderbolt Display to a Studio Display (and later replacing iMac with Mac mini and additional Studio Display in the next year or so) vs upgrading to new MacBook Pro

Just curious if anyone has upgraded either recently or any thoughts. Thanks in advance.

The 2022 Studio Display will work with a 2019 27" or 21"iMac, but neither of these will run MacOS 26 Tahoe, which is required for the new 2026 5K/60 Studio Display to work properly.

Thank you I had not realized that. I’m assuming the display will work just not to its full potential
