I’m hoping that what you wrote about the 4,1 being interchangeable with the 5,1 is true. I bought a pristine empty 4,1 case off craigslist a while back, and I want to swap my 5,1 innards out of their damaged case into the undamaged 4,1 case, and upgrade the WiFi card to be Catalina-supported in the process.
The MP has always been a tower, and the 6,1 is so radically different in appearance, most people don't put it in the same line of thinking. It's easy to over look. Regardless of it's innards, it doesn't look like a MP to me.

Sometimes there are genuine 2010 Mac Pro 12c Dual CPU bargains you can find on eBay at around $600 or less. Saves you hours on tinkering/transferring spare parts and testing if the machine works.
