I have my 3 and have been wearing it religiously over the past few years. Wondering if it’a worth going from a 3 to a 6? Besides AOD and a slightly bigger screen what other features am I gaining?

it's a huge upgrade... even 3 to 4 was big... its 4 to 6 that was more subtle.

you'd get...

1. refined more rounded shape, thinner
2. significantly bigger screen with smaller bezels and rounded corners that looks significantly better
3. always on display... to me that is awesome, makes it a full time watch
4. ECG testing, automatic afib warnings, low and high heart rate warnings, and soon low VO2 max warnings.
5. very significant improvement to HR monitor accuracy during high intensity exercise
6. blood oxygen monitor
7. surrounding environment loudness monitor (noise monitor)
8. built in compass
9. fall detection
10. always on altimeter
11. way, way, way, way faster
12. 20%+ faster charging
13. U1 ultrawide band chip that apple will use in an upcoming system (to be announced within weeks) for monitoring and tracking all your apple hardware with precise location, even when off.

its a BIG change.

for me, going from 3 to 4 was worth it ... but do the comparison as suggested above and decide for yourself

I'm going from a 3 to a 6, which I just picked up an hour ago. Until now, especially since I have the Ceramic Edition 3, the upgrade just wasn't quite worth it, even with the better screen size. But the new features combined with all the other incremental upgrades finally tipped me over that edge. My new Space Grey Titanium Edition is charging right now before I transfer over. My old watch is going to my best girlfriend who hasn't yet tried the Apple Watch - I hope she is delighted with it!

You got it wrong way round. Series 6 for the girlfriend. Definitely worth the "upgrade." :)

Well let’s flip the script for a second, obviously everybody else will list the tech specs points about the Apple Watch With the differences, but what do you like about the S6 that would compel you to upgrade? If you can answer that extensively to yourself or to others, that would probably be a solid confirmation, don’t you think?

It’s absolutely worth it. Went from an S3 to the S6 and just the performance increase is massive. The S3 always felt slow to me. The S6 is super fast in comparison. The AOD is something I thought I could take or leave but I have fallen in love with it immediately. It’s a killer feature IMO. You’ll also be getting the EKG and blood oxygen features. Also a huge bump in storage capacity. 32GB vs 8GB.

I just upgraded from the S3 to the S6 and wow I’m impressed. I was going to go with the SE as I didn’t care about the other bells n whistles but I really wanted an AOD. I’m so glad I did. I’ve only have it half a day and love it already.

When I had the 3 I wasn't bothered about the 4 until ended up with one by mistake,it was great! So the 6 will be a huge improvement.

My wife went from SS S2 to SS S6 - huge deal, especially that her S2 wasn't properly working on top of it all. I have SS S4 and I see a zero appeal with S6. I don't care for always on display (she also turned it off) and blood oxygen sensor is a gimmick at best - when it works!

I think the new watches are great upgrade from S1/2 and S3, but not so much from S4/S5, unless someone must have the latest and greatest.

Yea I upgraded from a launch series 3 to the series 6 last Friday. I really enjoy the improvements. Well worth upgrading if you can afford it.
