Upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave OS

Hi guys,
due to software compatibility, I should upgrade my MacMini (Late 2014, 2.6 Ghz i5 - 8GB RAM 1600 DDR3 - Intel Iris 1536MB - SSD 480gb) from High Sierra OS to Mojave OS.

I've got some doubts, because I would not like to lose actual speed or increase lag during work with new OS.

What do you advice me? May I upgrade my Mac Mini to new os or try to stay on High Sierra still on?

there are no speed diff in mohave. i think Big sure & monteray may be slower but not by much.

I have a 2014 2.8ghz i5/8gb Mini that runs fine on Mojave. In fact, that's what was pre-installed when I purchased it new.

With an SSD, you'll do fine.
Mojave is one of the best Mac OS versions -- I say, "go"!

My description being a subjective term, it could run slow on your 2012 or it could run like a scalded dog. It’s all a matter of your HW/SW configuration.
