I would definitely do it. Especially since, with most carriers currently you can get $650 off your installments for trading it in. I am trading in a 6s plus for mine so I'll only end up paying about $300 (since I purchased the 7+ 256gb).
I wouldn't... only go for the 7 Plus. You will notice the lower screen density on the smaller screen and won't be happy. The screen size on the plus is 401 pixels per square inch and only 326 ppi on the iPhone 7 which leaves something to be desired. I'm going to exchange the 7 I just purchased because of this. It doesn't look like a true retina after having been spoiled by the 6S Plus myself.

It depends what you want in the new iPhone. But the promotional deals that most carriers are offering are expired. Unless they are renewing are offering something different.
But the 7+ is superior over the 6S plus in every way. If you upgrade, I'm sure you'd be happy with all those subtle changes that were made and the dual camera.
The OP is actually upgrading from a 6+ not 6S so the change will be much more noticeable. Not sure if yearly upgrades are worth it myself. I have a 6 and am thinking of making the jump to the plus size 7.
I recently upgraded (today) my 6 plus to the 7 plus 128. The experience has been positive and it's noticeably faster and smoother overall. I would recommend, but to be honest, if I hadn't been running out of space, I probably would have held out till next year.
