Upgrade from OS Server 10.5.8 to OS Server 10.6

Is it possible to do an in place upgrade from 10.5.8 to 10.6? I have a Server 10.6 disk. Do I need a key code to complete the upgrade? What pitfalls or issues do I need to look out for?

Hey -

That was a longgggggg time back. As I recall, yes, you should be able to upgrade in place. I also recall that Server was always, eh, fragile, so it was always wise to make a full, bootable clone, test it, and then go ahead with the OS upgrade.

I do remember that Server for 5 had a serial number, and I think 6 did too, but not sure.
