Upgrade iOS for jailbroken itouch 2nd gen

Hi, i would like some advise on how to upgrade iOS for my itouch 2nd gen version 3.1.3 to version 3.2 at least. Because i would like to use the VLC media player app on my itouch 😀

connect your ipod to your computer then open itunes. You will see the Icon of your ipod. Click on it and you should see an update button. CLick update and your ipod will update to the latest firmware. It will take quite awhile so be patient!

ooo well as far as i know you cant do that. You would have to upgrade then rejailbreak once a 4.2 jb comes out.

Oh and I should probably tell you that VLC Media player doesnt work on on ipod touch 2g no matter what firmware.

nope not yet. just with iphone, ipad and ipod touch 4g.
