    Hi All

I currently have an iPad Pro 9.7 (2016) and an iPad Pro 12.9 (2015).

I'm considering upgrading both of these, but should I upgrade now, or next year when they are possibly OLED screens.

Also, both of my current iPads have warranty left on them (The 9.7 till April 2018 and the 12.9 till Dec 2018) so would it make financial sense to sell them now (considering iPad prices have gone up)

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

I'd wait. You've got two perfectly fine ipad pros. Sure the 10.5" & current 12.9" are newer & faster...but not so much to warrant an upgrade in my opinion. Rumor has it that 2018 will see a radical redesign of the ipad pros, so i'd wait until next year. If Apple does radically redesign the ipad pros, you'll be glad you waited.

iPad most likely won't get OLED screens in 2018.

Resale values for iPad Pros have tanked... and they're not going to go back up. Not even with the $50 bump in MSRP of the highest capacity Pros.

The 1st gen 12.9 Pro is still a beast of a tablet. There is nothing currently known about iOS 11 that will cause this to change any time soon. The 2nd gen 12.9 Pro was essentially a spec bump (my opinion based on my uses of the 1st gen 12.9 Pro) and there's a possibility of a noticeable hardware change for the 3rd gen. I'm holding on to my 12.9 Pro to see what the 3rd gen offers.

I would upgrade when there are more significant improvements, but to each his own. Nobody can tell you for sure if there will be new iPads with OLED screens next year.

If you can afford upgrading every 12-18 months, upgrade now. If you’re on a 18-24 months cycle, hold on.

I’d wait! It’s been 3 months already, and you have pretty modern devices along with that (if you had a, say an Air, I’d say upgrade now). From what you have, it isn’t too much of an upgrade, but next years iPads probably will be much more of an upgrade.

Funny people are saying that since there are credible rumors that the iPad actually will get those and a big redesign next year

The short supply of the iPhone X is not due to the cpu or other hardware, it’s mostly due to the OLED screen that is in very high demand, but not enough supply of it. There is no way Apple can get iPP sized OLED screens manufactured in enough quantities in 2018.
Does anybody know the iPhone X production quantity this year? Less than 5 million is what I read somewhere.
