so those of us on the upgrade programme, what’s going to happen?

We had to wait an extra 2 months last year for the iPhone X to be released, subsequently I didn’t get my iPhone X until release date in November. Does that now mean I have to wait until November to get the XS?

Assuming you’re in the UK since you call it the programme. If you enrolled in November you should make your 11th payment and become eligible to upgrade in October. Alternatively, you can opt to pay off any remaining payments to get you to the 11th month. The Apple Store app will be able to tell you how much it will cost.

You need to have made 12 payments to be upgrade eligible per device. You can make advance payments to cover the remaining balance due to be considered eligible earlier.

As Craig has said, have a look at the Apple Store App as it will tell you the upgrade date and the price to pay to upgrade early.

Ah excellent thanks didn’t know that.

I’m now wondering if it’s worth selling the phone privately and making a bit of money....how can you tell how much is left on the full balance of the phone?

Ring Barclays and they’ll tell you or work it out.

Phone + AppleCare minus £69 upfront payment minus your monthly payment by the number of months you’ve paid.

Ah thanks was hoping there was a way to see on the app but couldn’t find anything.

Cheers!

In the U.K. it’s the date your policy started plus 20 months so just times your monthly payment by how many more months you’ve got left.
