My wife and I are both on the upgrade scheme. While she was able to secure an iPhone X on launch, the best I could do is the 18th of November.

She is not to bothered about waiting another couple of weeks so she has offered the X we picked up today to me and when my X is available to pick up I’ll obviously give her that one.

Would this in anyway violate the terms and conditions of the upgrade scheme? Today’s X was upgraded using her details and the finance agreement is hers.

Also if I were to set up today’s X with my Apple login etc would this effect my pending upgrade as I can see in the store app that Apple know which iPhone you use by the serial number etc...

Bit long winded but hope this makes sense lol

No, you are fine. I have two iPhone Xs in my name via the Apple upgrade program; one for me, and one for my partner. They are both in my name, but when we placed the order, the confirmation/Apple Care/shipping emails went to her since it’s her Apple ID on one phone.

We can trade at will, it makes no difference. The only thing they care about is getting the right phone back at the end of the agreement period.

Go for it!

Wife and I have been doing this for years. Whoever wants or needs an upgrade does so on whichever line is available. Switch sims and happyness.
