Upgrade question

i upgraded my phone thru my husbands line since I still owe on mine. When it comes I know they can switch it to my number but what happens to my current phone?

AT&T I upgraded thru his line for iPhone 8 but I still owe on my iPhone 7.

On AT&T, I would just swap SIM cards. That's what I've done in the past.

Cross upgrading? If so, I believe you will need to contact AT&T after you receive the device and activate it on your line. Then the sim on your 7 no longer works. but your phone still works and can be used or supposedly if your husband want to use it he can just insert his sim card to your 7. I hope this is what you are asking? No?

So works with WiFi only? I didn’t add a line so that’s my guess? Sorry if I’m confusing!

Once you activate the 8 with your number, yes, your 7 will get no service. But you can then take the sim from the 8 and put it in the 7 if you wanted to use the 7. Or you can just put the 7 on airplane mode and use it on wifi only.
