I'm not sure if I'm eligible to get an iphone.. I called the *639# to see, this is what it said back:
"A full discount on a standard handset or iPhone upgrade is not available at this time but you may qualify on 7/21/2010. We can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade at a higher price with a 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."

This would be my first iPhone, and I'm new to the iPhone world, so please forgive me if these are stupid questions. Basically, is it saying I'm eligible for any upgrade on July 21st? And if so, wouldn't I be able to get an iPhone on or near the 24th anyways since ATT opened the iPhone up to anyone eligible in '10?

Any current iPhone owner who had an upgrade date in 2010 is eligible now for the full subsidized upgrade price (at least that's how I understood it). It looks like you'll be eligible later in July.

If you haven't reserved or pre-ordered a phone by now, that's likely the earliest you'd be able to get one anyway since it looks like they're backordered until the middle of July...
