In many SSD the size of the NAND chips mean that in the larger SSDs there are a larger number of chips (and therefore more parallel read/write operations), than the smaller SSDs in the same range.

For example, in the Crucial M500 the best performance is in the 480GB and 960GB sizes, while the 240GB and 120GB are a little slower.

btw, how about RAM.
any issues with corsair maybe for 16GB in macbook?
i have read from other thread, many person resomended for crucial 16GB or OWC 16GB.

Basically, any name brand, such as Corsair, will be fine, IMO. You shouldn't have any issues with it.

I like going with either company because they stand behind their product. That is if I get a defective module, its easy to get a replacement. Great customer support for both OWC and Crucial, additionally, I've had better luck with them over going with no name brands as well.
