I have a Macbook pro 15 late 2011 4Gb RAM and want to upgrade the RAM to 8GB, which provider do you recommend buying? samsung, kingston, hynix?? My OS is Mountain Lion 10.8.3.

Most popular brands should be fine.

You need to ensure you buy 1333MHz RAM for your Mac. Here's a couple of links - you can find cheaper though:


Buying 2x4GB would offer slightly better performance than a single 8GB stick:

Do you see a noticeable difference with the 1600MHz?
I personally didnt see any boost so I just returned it and got the cheaper 1333MHz.

Noticeable, not really but it does in benchmarks more so than anything. But due to price difference, why not get 1600MHz?
