Hi, Anyone know what is in 2.1????
Unlimited MMS (AT&T only, O2 in UK coming with 2.1.1)
Horizontal keyboard in SMS
Native tether (the reason they pulled NetShare)
Copy+paste (for Apple apps only... for now, anyways)
Snappier Safari and Maps/Location Services
Wifi+3G remote access to iTunes library (no support for EDGE -- Wifi only for iTouch and original iPhone)
Fixes bug with right speaker not working in most 3G iPhones
Fixes supposed 'light leak'
I found all of this with a quick forum search. Try searching next time...
Wirelessly posted (White iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5C1 Safari/525.20)
blah, blah, blah, stability, blah, blah, blah, improved network communications, blah, blah, blah, snappier
And a coupon for some fudge.
Yummmmm.....but won't the sticky fudge slow down my 3G iPhone? Oh....wait.....nvm....
I bow to you, sir.
Aren't they going to activate the forward facing camera too for video conferencing?
yea and upgrading the normal camera to 5mp
Should b a good update.
Don't forget all the case crack fixes coming in 2.1
I can't believe you guys left that one off.
Yes: I'm pretty sure Apple do
Firmware number is definitely going to change under Settings.
Everybody's a comedian
A tad harsh, but "LOL" all the same.
Go easy on them there n00bs. We've all been a n00b at some point (and yes, that includes YOU too, dear reader).
Well thanks all, I deserved that.
yes, yes you did
I'm surprised with all of that they didn't add the 4G upgrade. Software updates are amazing these days.
My insider source in Cupertino stated that they would be adding GPS to the first Generation iPhones in the 2.1 upgrade!
Honestly though, I bet they're gonna put off the 2.1 update until after September 9th when they debut the new iTouches. If they do end up having GPS, then the 2.1 iTouch firmware would probably have Location Services, and maybe the debut of the Nike tracking program?
This is fixed by the free roll of duct tape as shown here.
Also they have a free uninstaller for your applications, press the button to cancel, or press button to begin.
