Well, I got an iPhone 4 on launch date, and it's obviously been amazing; however my camera for months has not been able to take clear pictures due to some unremovable residue/scratches or whatever. On top of that, the home button does not always register. Should I spend $30 for the Apple Store to replace the glass to fix my camera issue and then just live with the home button, or upgrade to the 4S at the subsidized price? I was hoping for an iPhone 5, however as we see that isn't what we're getting; then again, I suppose the only difference between a 4S and a 5 was the form factor, no? And the iPhone 4's design is attractive enough, I suppose.

Well I guess if you think the cost of upgrading is worth the new features, then you should do that. Otherwise stick with the 4.

BTW do you have AppleCare? My home button wasn't registering either, and I got a replacement a month ago. And I think $30 is cheap for new glass.
