Hey guys, I have a normal 64Gb iPhone 8, and I’m pretty happy with it. Since it’s paid off, I was thinking of upgrading to the XS because I really like the camera and would like to keep 3D Touch, plus my battery life currently isn’t very good. I was wondering if I should upgrade to the XS or wait until September and see what comes out?

iPhone 8/Plus Upgrade to XS from 8?

Everyone on here is probably going to tell you to wait. The camera will be a plus; the battery life will be better but not significantly enough imo. It's definitely an upgrade, but if you're doing it for the battery, I'd just get a battery case.
I would upgrade. I don’t see the reason why you wouldn’t, you like what the new iPhone XS has to offer, [And it’s still at least another six months away for the 2019 iPhone], which I would not expect to be drastically that different, aside from the triple lens camera to be rumored, which could be exclusive to the Max.
(On top of that, it’s been a rumored that 3D Touch may not be returning for the 2019 iPhone, and may be using what the XR uses for the software experience.)
Buy the XS, it’s a hell of an upgrade from the 8 and will be more then about to keep you happy for several years. Remember people are keeping their phones for longer now, I would probably still be using my 6S if the camera was better!
