So I bumped up the memory on my 2010 unibody from 2 to 4, don't know why I didn't just take the leap when I first bought it. Love how I saw a noticeable bump in speed.

Now I've got the old 2 1gb chips and don't want to just toss them. Is there a resellers market for the base memory chips? Ebay? Even a trade-in/donate?

The next stop is going from 4 to 8 in my Imac!

2x1GB is worth so little so you're better off keeping it for troubleshooting purposes.

That is what I was thinking. I've read too many horror stories of 3rd party chips dying in a few months.

    Thanks!
