I specifically avoided the 11 Pro Max because I wanted a more pocketable form factor, not to mention the comfort of single-handed use (the size of the 7+ has always bugged me a bit), but I'm now beginning to wonder if I might be happier exchanging it for an 11 Pro Max for a less cramped screen feel. Am I right in thinking that one-handed use is basically not possible with the Pro Max size? I tried one in an Apple store yesterday and that was my immediate impression, but I also know that people can adapt to devices with use, so I'm in the middle on this one. Aside from the narrower screen feeling a touch too small and cramped (and the bloody notch), I love everything about the 11 Pro.

I was always a iPhone plus guy (having a 6 plus then a 7 plus) then I went with the X in 2017 (the best tech in 17) and found it too narrow as well. I jumped to the Xs Max in 2018 then the Camera in the Pro Max seduced me.

I had a X and gave it to my wife and took the 7 Plus for a few weeks until I got my Pro Max. It’s such an improvement over the 7 plus. To me it doesn’t look more narrow just taller which I can see how it would give the impression of being narrow. And it may be. I do t know the specs. To me the Pro Max isn’t overly large. I got used to it fast. I wish even the screen was taller a bit like on the Note 10+

but I like big screens.

If you are questioning the narrowness already then you will eventually spend more money to get the max. Get the max

I wouldn’t worry too much about how slippery it is at the store. All iPhones are slippery without a case. Try testing out your 7 Plus without the case, it’ll feel impossible to hold.

I haven’t received my Max yet, but my gut feeling is if I was okay with the Plus, I’ll be able to use the Max.

I had a 8 plus, and my new 11 Pro Max feels much easier to hold, and the display looks much larger at the same time!

I considered ordering a iPhone 11 Pro. But, everyone says the screen feels smaller compared to “7 Plus / 8 Plus iPhones”. So, I told myself I was going all in and buying the iPhone 11 Pro Max MG.

After buying 6 new iPhone in 3 weeks, I AM FINALLY SATISFIED 100%. Thank goodness My long ordeal is over..

iPhone 11 Pro Max in MG was the ULTIMATE SHOW STOPPER FOR ME!

I am happy, I have not questioned my new awesome phone once! No exchanges, no more iPhones! I’m done! I’m happy!

I went from a 7 plus to and Xr and never got used to the screen. Over 9 months I was constantly missing keys on the keyboard and it drove me nuts. Just got the Pro Max and am already typing much better. I just couldn’t get used to the narrower screen.

I upgraded from the iPhone 8 Plus to the 11 pro. I love how handy this phone is. The 11 Pro Max will just be too heavy and big. The 6.1 is perfect but I can wait. I’ll stick with the pro.

I've have went with the larger iPhone twice now. An 8+ and most recently XS Max. Each time, I gave it a year before going back to the regular Pro size. I've tried to adjust but it just cannot be done. I hate not being able to use it one handed, and I don't have small hands at all. It's just a beast.

I'd definitely recommend sticking with the 11 Pro, especially if you already have your doubts about the size of the larger device.

After using plus phones and now my XS Max, there's no way I could go back to a smaller phone. Is the Pro more pocket friendly, is it easier to use one handed, yuppers, but the screen of the Max version, not to mention the battery life, it's the perfect phone for me. I'll be petting a Pro Max in few weeks after an upcoming surgery.

Just got my Pro Max yesterday

Sooo glad I cancelled the pre-order for the regular Pro, I have zero regrets. I can confirm that if you were okay with the Plus, the Max will feel right at home. They're basically the same size.
