Upgraded my Mac and lost my Messages history!

Bought a new Mac and moved from the old Mac to the new Mac with Time Machine and guess what I lost all my Messages History of all my chats. How can I get them back?

Mine are here:

/Users/<username>/Library/Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Messages/Archive/

See if that folder has content and has been restored correctly. You should find them by searching for "ichat"

I don't think previous messages will show until you send a new message to the contact, then it will repopulate the history at that time.

Worst case you can use time machine to move these files and then try the process again.:
